July 21, 2006, Newsletter Issue #26: choosing good, fresh meat

Tip of the Week

When buying chicken, look for relatively dry skin and an even color. Avoid chicken with excess liquid in the package, torn wrapping or off-coloration. There should be no unpleasant odor and no stickiness when touched. -- George Foreman and Cherie Calbom, George Foremanīs Knock-Out-The-Fat Barbecue and Grilling Cookbook (1996)
